Terms of use
Last updated: June 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of qed’bop. Using the site means you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
What qed'bop is
qed’bop is a web tool that helps teachers build shareable assignment pages around public-domain poems paired with musical settings of those poems. The service is provided by [ENTITY NAME] (“we,” “us”).
Who can use it
The teacher-facing portions of qed’bop are intended for educators. The student-facing share pages at /a/[slug] can be used by anyone the sharing teacher provides the URL to, including minors under teacher supervision.
If you are creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use qed’bop in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights, including copyright.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse the AI generation features, or use the service to generate content unrelated to its educational purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ data or to the underlying systems.
- Use qed’bop to harass, defame, or deceive others.
- Resell, sublicense, or repackage qed’bop or its AI-generated outputs as a competing service.
Content and AI-generated material
The poems in qed’bop’s catalog are in the public domain. Videos are embedded from YouTube and remain subject to the uploader’s rights and YouTube’s terms.
Discussion questions, teacher commentary, and chat answers are generated by AI. You’re free to use, adapt, and share AI-generated outputs from qed’bop within your educational practice. We make no warranty that any specific generated output is accurate, original, or suitable for a given audience — review generated content before assigning it.
Accounts and shareable URLs
If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that takes place under your account. Authentication is provided by a third-party (Clerk); their terms also apply to your account.
Shareable assignment URLs are exactly that: a teacher who creates a URL can share it with anyone, including by posting it publicly. We don’t guarantee that an assignment URL will remain private, and we don’t police what teachers do with URLs they create.
Paid plans (when offered)
Pricing is shown on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are at our discretion for periods that haven’t yet renewed; we don’t generally refund partial periods.
We may change pricing or plan structures with reasonable notice. If we materially change pricing on an existing subscription, we’ll notify the subscriber by email before the next renewal.
Availability
qed’bop is provided “as is.” We aim for high availability but don’t promise uninterrupted service. The service depends on third parties (Anthropic for AI generation, YouTube for video, Vercel for hosting, Clerk for auth, payment processors when applicable) whose availability is outside our control.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, qed’bop and its operators provide the service without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of qed’bop is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms. You can stop using the service at any time; deleting an account is described in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date and post a notice. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be resolved in the courts located in [STATE].
